I love the new Redwood SEED Scholars program at UC Davis. It’s grounded in belonging, the principles of DEI, and the promise that students with intellectual disabilities deserve to be on campus. Students have the support they need to move into the dorms, go to classes, join clubs, build relationships, and gain competitive job skills. There’s nothing else like this in California, so the team wants to create a framework that other UCs and public universities can adopt.
