Systems change is necessary to build a more just society, but it can only happen through the sustained power of movements, particularly those led by people most impacted by the problem.”
Regina Schwartz

Everyone deserves to thrive. In order to dismantle systemic inequality and champion opportunity for all, we support strategies that drive long-term social change and build power in historically underrepresented communities. Our Advocacy & Movement Capacity Building teams work to enable partners to shift policies and practices — often through coalition-led campaigns — that impact the lives of people across the country. We do this through grantmaking, training, community organizing, and strategic advising.

Advocacy

Lasting change can only come from reforming the unjust systems at play in our society. With deep experience in policy change, our Advocacy team supports our initiatives and partners to set strategy and execute work on campaigns — including legislative efforts and ballot measures — in support of CZI’s core issue areas.
