Project
Human Breast Cell Atlas Seed Network
Focus
Breast
Method
Epigenetic Sequencing, Single Cell Transcriptomics, Spatial Genomics
Project Summary
This project will establish a comprehensive reference of cell types and cell states in human breast tissue with single cell and spatial resolution.
Results & Resources
A significant milestone for this team was the publication of the human breast cell atlas, including single-cell RNA-sequencing data and spatial transcriptomic data from 50 breast samples. This dataset identified and spatially mapped 12 different cell types, over 38 cell states, and found associations between transcriptomes, age, germline mutations, and BMI. This study will continue to serve as an essential reference when studying diseases such as breast cancer.
