Seeding Sustainability for the napari Project
Project Summary
CZI collaborates with napari — a community-built, Python-based, open source tool designed for browsing, annotating, and analyzing large multi-dimensional images.
Through this $200,000 grant, CZI is supporting napari’s core developers as they work to establish the long-term sustainability of the napari project. The funding will be used for key community-building activities, including the onboarding and retention of core developers, as well as community management efforts.
In order to build a strong coalition of supporters for napari, CZI has provided an additional $100,000 to match any contributions to napari from other philanthropic organizations, funders, or individuals.
This funding will be managed and administered through NumFOCUS, the fiscal sponsor for the grant.
