Sustaining Parsl: Enabling Extreme-Scale Biomedicine

Project Parsl
Funding Cycle 5

Proposal Summary

To enable the biomedical community to more easily use large-scale computing to efficiently run complex workflows via Parsl.

Project

Parsl

The Parsl programming library is designed to enable the implementation of parallel programs and workflows in Python and the portable execution of those programs on different computers, from laptops to million-core supercomputers. This project seeks to make Parsl more sustainable and to ensure that its capabilities are easily usable by the biomedical community by transitioning Parsl to be community-governed. The project will also support ongoing maintenance and development, as well as conduct training and outreach to expand Parsl’s reach.
