Integrated Computational and Experimental Approaches to Dissect Cell Type Variation
Focus
Brain
Project Goal
To dissect cell-type variation in human substantia nigra and locus coeruleus using integrated computational and experimental approaches.
Results & Resources
Macosko and Costa generated pilot data from difficult regions of the brain that are critical for neurodegeneration – the substantia and locus coeruleus. They released a protocol detailing frozen nuclei extraction and they have developed a computational tool (LIGER) to integrate diverse data types. This work is described in a preprint available on bioRxiv.
