Methods to Enable Multiplexing of Single-Cell RNA-seq Experiments in Population Scale
Focus
Populations
Project Goal
To develop computational methods to enable cost-effective multiplexing of single-cell RNA-seq experiment to population scale by harnessing cell-specific expression in addition to genetic variation.
Results & Resources
This project focused on developing two methods and tools to harness cell-specific expression from highly multiplexed single-cell experiments, which help scientists reduce costs and throughput. Popscle is a package designed to deconvolute multiplexed single-cell RNA-seq data. Popscle freemuxlet enables the detection of multiplets in a dataset without requiring external genotype data.
