Single-Cell Expression Visualization and its Integration into UCSC Xena
Focus
Portals
Project Goal
To build a web-based viewer for single-cell dimensionality reduction coordinates and expression matrices and integrate it with the UCSC Xena Browser and the UCSC Genome Browser.
Results & Resources
The Haeussler lab developed an open source viewer for single-cell datasets that can be integrated and run on other websites. The Cell Browser source code is openly available, has both pypi and bioconda packages for easy installation, and it does not require a server for setup. They also provided scripts to convert outputs from CellRanger and Seurat 2 for easy preparation to load data into the Cell Browser.
