Single-Cell RNA-seq Analysis of Human Brain Tissue

To compare different parameters for carrying out single-cell RNA sequencing from human brain tissue.

The Konopka lab focused their efforts on understanding cellular composition and molecular diversity along the hippocampal long axis in humans. They optimized nuclei extraction from human brain tissue, resulting in two protocols for nuclei isolation. Their single-cell analysis pipeline is available on GitHub. This initial work resulted in two preprints, describing the roles of Foxp1 and Foxp2 in development and behavior.
