Today, the newest cohort of local nonprofit partners has been selected to receive support through the Chan Zuckerberg Community Fund (CZ Community Fund). For 10 years and counting, the CZ Community Fund has fueled nonprofit organizations working to build a thriving San Mateo County, where everyone has the opportunity to prosper.

“We are honored to partner with this year’s grantees, who are meeting urgent needs and creating long-term opportunities across San Mateo County,” said Alma Pulido, who leads the Community Fund. “Their dedication, creativity, and resilience inspire us.”

The 2026 CZ Community Fund grant partner cohort includes organizations working across communities in San Mateo County. Our newest partners focus their efforts in housing, healthcare, education, job and career skills, and other social supports.

“For nearly 30 years, we’ve worked to close the opportunity gap for families in North Central San Mateo, and we do it by meeting the whole child — academically, socially, and materially,” said Benjamin N. York, Ph.D., Executive Director of Homework Central. “This support from the Community Fund helps us keep every part of that model completely free for families, from individualized and small group tutoring at our six after-school sites to hands-on STEAM projects with partners like CuriOdyssey. It’s an investment not just in test scores, but in the dignity and confidence our students carry with them.”
