Ellevation Joins Curriculum Associates Family to Accelerate Impact
Ellevation acquired by Curriculum Associates as part of their shared commitment to multilingual learners
Recently, Ellevation joined the Curriculum Associates family, to expand its impact on multilingual students. Ellevation is a company in the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative’s (CZI) Ventures portfolio.
CZI Ventures invests in entrepreneurs and innovative global companies that are developing transformative and scalable solutions to the issues at the heart of our mission. In 2016, we invested in Ellevation Education, a software platform that enables administrators and educators to support and personalize instruction for English Language Learners (ELLs).
Ellevation has grown significantly since CZI’s initial investment from a compliance and administrative tool to a broader platform to serve ELL needs, including research-based instructional strategies for teachers and academic language content. Ellevation already serves nearly 30% of all ELLs in more than 1,000 US school districts, including many of the largest in the country. Curriculum Associates currently reaches more than 10 million students in K-12. The two companies will now work together to strengthen the student, teacher and administrator experience and accelerate their impact.
