Project Summary
This team will build a single-cell atlas of healthy breast, fallopian tube, and prostate epithelial cells across populations in West and East Africa, the Caribbean, and the U.S. Researchers will use this data, as well as genotype data, to inform a benchmark in pre- and post-menopausal people and across ages. These benchmarks aim to confidently measure and interpret ancestral genomic differences at the cellular level.
The team will partner with communities, and with the African-Caribbean Cancer Consortium and Transatlantic Gynecologic Cancer Research Consortium, to encourage equitable participation in and benefit from biomedical research.
