The first organization I selected is TEAM GRS because I love how the organization uses media and sports to teach lessons, and values to young people. Providing mentors and principles for success to help them “break the trap.”
Next, I sit on a local parent group called D3A, which focuses on improving the support and experience for African American students in my local school district. The goal of my donation to the New Havens School Foundation is to increase the amount of scholarship money that can be provided for the upcoming year.
I volunteer my time and expertise to the local school district to support improved outcomes for the students in my community. I believe that being present and a resource is most important.
