The Chan Zuckerberg Community Fund, Supporting Local Nonprofits, Is Now Open
Applications for the 2026 CZ Community Fund will be accepted through June 5.
The 2026 Chan Zuckerberg Community Fund (CZ Community Fund) is now open!
Since 2017, the CZ Community Fund has invested over $38 million to more than 200 local nonprofit organizations that are helping build a thriving San Mateo County, where everyone has the opportunity to prosper.
Organizations working across San Mateo County can submit applications for the CZ Community Fund online, starting today! The deadline to submit an application is 5 p.m. PT on Friday, June 5, 2026. The application is also available in Spanish.
Now in its tenth grantmaking cycle, the CZ Community Fund supports organizations that provide direct services in priority areas like housing, healthcare, education, job and career skills, and other social supports. The Community Fund offers two-year grants of up to $200,000.
“Local nonprofits are doing the essential work of building a thriving San Mateo County,” says Alma Pulido, who leads the CZ Community Fund. “The Chan Zuckerberg Community Fund is here to support that work — providing both funding and flexible partnership so these organizations have what they need to meet urgent community needs.”
The application period will close at 5 p.m. PDT on Friday, June 5, 2026.
