Welcome to the CZI Community Space

About the Space

The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative is proud to call San Mateo County home and supports local organizations and community members who are building a more inclusive, just, and healthy future for everyone in the community. Located at 801 Jefferson Avenue in Downtown Redwood City, the CZI Community Space provides free meeting and event space for organizations to convene, collaborate, and host events and programs that support the local community.

CZI has provided grants to three key partners to lead the development and management of event programming for the Community Space with the goals of supporting local arts and culture, building community and supporting non-profit leaders: The Redwood City Parks & Arts Foundation, Thrive Alliance and Redwood City Together. 2024 Expansion

We launched the Community Space to help the local community connect, heal and learn from each other post pandemic. Since then, the Community Space has served as a gathering place for our partner organizations to host community-led events and programming to support a more diverse, inclusive and vibrant San Mateo County. We are thrilled to share that the Community Space is expanding its programming in 2024 to include events hosted by any nonprofits based in and serving San Mateo County, as well as Redwood City and San Mateo County government agencies. Available Rooms

Our community event space includes two conference rooms and one large main event space. These rooms can be reserved by CZI Community Space members.
