Rare As One Partner

National Organization for Rare Disorders

The National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) is the leading independent advocacy organization representing all patients and families affected by rare diseases in the United States. NORD is committed to the identification, treatment and cure of more than 7,000 rare diseases, of which approximately 90 percent are still without an FDA-approved treatment or therapy.

The Chan Zuckerberg Intiative’s partnership with NORD will help the organization directly support patient advocacy groups as they engage in research and build communities of rare disease patients, researchers, and clinicians working together to find treatments and cures.
