Project
A Comprehensive Single Cell Atlas of the Human Kidney
Focus
Urinary
Method
Epigenetic Sequencing, Single Cell Transcriptomics, Spatial Genomics, Spatial Proteomics
Project Summary
This network will develop a comprehensive, validated atlas of the human kidney at single cell resolution open to the entire scientific and clinical community.
Results & Resources
This group developed methodologies for single-nucleus isolation, sequencing preparation, and slide-sequencing from human kidney samples. They also designed computational methods for slide-sequencing analysis to aid spatial localization of the human kidney transcriptome. With these tools and techniques, they generated data from 69 samples and published several manuscripts, including three that used published and unpublished data to uncover new insights related to the susceptibility of kidney cells to COVID-19.
