Project
Understanding How Maternal Inflammation Impacts Pregnancy
Focus
Maternal & Fetal Health
Project Summary
The placenta forms a tissue interface where immune signals and cells mediate communication between mother and fetus. Chronic inflammation is associated with poor pregnancy outcomes. This team will explore how maternal and fetal cells respond to specific inflammatory signals and analyze the network of placental cells and immune cells that impact pregnancy outcomes in chronic inflammatory diseases.
