Project Goal

To generate a comprehensive benchmark dataset of single-cell lineage trees with endpoint cell state measurements using single-molecule FISH and single-cell RNA-sequencing for systematically comparing computational approaches and identifying standards for multi-modal integration.


Results & Resources

During this project, the Hormoz lab developed a 3D organoid model of the human paraxial mesoderm development that recapitulates all major development cell fate transitions. Their results indicate that generating organoids of defined cell numbers significantly impacts their differentiation ability to form organoids of high purity.
