Project
Human Cell Atlas of the Female Reproductive System
Focus
Reproductive
Method
Single Cell Transcriptomics
Project Summary
This project will establish a human cell atlas of the female reproductive system, focusing on the ovaries, fallopian tube, and uterus.
Results & Resources
This group developed new techniques for fallopian tube and myometrium single-cell dissociation, oocyte and live follicle isolation, and single-cell isolation from the ovary to generate a comprehensive atlas of the female reproductive system. They generated an atlas of the fallopian tube and identified two new cell types. Additional analyses identified 11 cell types in the myometrium and endometrium, and more than 20 cell types across ovarian cells.
