A Strategy for Mapping the Human Spinal Cord with Single-Cell Resolution

Focus Brain

Project Goal

To combine state-of-the-art single-cell transcriptomics, chromatin accessibility, in situ sequencing, and topological data analysis to document the repertoire of cell types existing within the human spinal cord.

Results & Resources

Single-cell transcriptomics data at varying depths of the spinal cord along with chromatin accessibility data were produced. So far, the Maniatis lab reports and shows evidence of successful results using both combinatorial labeling and a modified plate-based method in the aim of developing an initial atlas of the human spinal cord.
