Comparison, Calibration, and Benchmarking of High-Throughput Single-Cell RNA-seq Techniques

Focus Tissue Handling and Processing

Project Goal

To compare, calibrate, and benchmark high-throughput single-cell RNA-Seq techniques for unbiased cell-type classification.

Results & Resources

The Basu lab compared three technologies (Drop-Seq, Fluidigm C1, and DroNC-Seq) on various cardiomyocyte populations. They found that nuclei in native tissue and iPSC derived cells delivers comparable data. A preprint summarizing their findings is available, as well as the data, analysis code, and protocols for nuclei isolation and DroNC-Seq.
