Multi-Scale Dissection of Rare Human Cellular Hierarchies
To develop technologies simultaneously with analysis of the hematopoietic variation in a cohort of normal patients, and to examine how the platform scales when diverse samples from individuals of different clinical backgrounds are assessed.

During this project, the Amit lab developed an experimental pipeline, MARS-seq2.0, and a computational pipeline, MetaCell, that combines unbiased sampling of transcriptional states using standard droplet technology with multi-faceted analysis of RNA and protein markers using index sorting. This work is described in a preprint available on bioRxiv.
