Project
Point-Spread Function Simulator for Fluorescence Microscopy
Award
napari Plugin Foundation
Project Summary
Precisely knowing the point-spread function (PSF) is the key to predicting the image quality of a fluorescent microscope. Realistic simulations of the PSF are extremely useful to evaluate performance and investigate issues and optimizations of all kinds of optical microscopes.
This project will improve the napari-psf-simulator plugin by extending the current PSF calculation and representing realistic conditions, such as polarized light, misalignments, aberrations, high numerical aperture, and sample structure.
