To monitor the impact of bacterial and viral diversity on human health, scientists must use a variety of computational tools. Software is often either presented as an application, which is accessible to non-expert users, or as a library, which can tackle larger datasets but requires more expertise. This project will develop a library interface to two existing applications fundamental to the analysis of metagenomic data, GraphBin and IQ-TREE, through integration with cogent3.
