Bio

Emily A. Waters is the Manager for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) at Northwestern University’s Center for Advanced Molecular Imaging (CAMI). She has extensive expertise in molecular imaging and preclinical cardiac imaging. She draws on her training as an engineer to support users across disciplines on design and implementation of MRI and multimodality imaging studies, and develops custom imaging and analysis methods to tackle challenging imaging projects in basic and translational research.

Project Description

Dr. Waters has a strong interest in education and outreach to the broad scientific community in order to expand the application of non-invasive, high resolution imaging methods to biomedical research. She will develop new imaging protocols and methods, support individual researchers to develop pilot studies, and help create innovative and exciting preclinical imaging projects. She will also develop accessible, application-focused educational materials to introduce biologists to preclinical imaging.
