Sharing Methods to Accelerate Reproducible Science

Open protocols allow researchers to efficiently reuse and reproduce methods that have been developed by others, and to build upon each other’s work. At CZI, we’ve partnered with protocols.io to provide a platform for open protocol sharing for the global Human Cell Atlas Community and the Neurodegeneration Challenge Network community. 

Today, scientists globally use protocols.io to share open methods across a broad range of biomedical fields, including sequencing and detection protocols for coronavirus research. All protocols hosted on the platform are open-licensed and freely accessible by anyone.  We partner with protocols.io to build on their role during the COVID-19 pandemic—to prepare for future outbreaks, to expand the global adoption of open method sharing, and to increase the value, usage, and discoverability of protocols published on the platform through partnerships with publishers and other scholarly platforms.
