A Career After Incarceration

Share

Mark Zuckerberg: Aly is a technical project manager on our Justice and Opportunity team, which works on a range of issues, from housing affordability to economic opportunity, criminal justice reform, and immigration. Not only has Aly brought valuable technical skills to his work at CZI, he also brings an invaluable perspective as someone who has been formerly incarcerated.

While in prison, Aly participated in programs to learn technical skills and prepare himself for a career once he was released. His story reminds us that there are many people who want a chance to return to their communities and provide for their families. It’s why we’re working hard to make our criminal justice system and more fair and effective, and to ensure that those who come out of prison have access to opportunities for a better future.
